Psychological Associate
Shelly Buckingham is an experienced Psychological Associate who is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Shelly has over fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents and their parents on a wide range of concerns. These include difficulties with mood, anxiety, attention, behaviour, relationships and school-based concerns.
Shelly started out in a community mental health setting and worked for the Durham District School Board for the past 10 years. She is experienced in providing psychological assessments as well as individual counselling with children and adolescents. She uses a client-centred and strengths-based approach to her treatment, drawing from a variety of modalities including Mindfulness therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Shelly has also served as an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor for the School and Clinical Child Psychology Program at OISE/UT.
McLean Noble Psychologists provides psychological services and psychotherapy to adults, couples, children, and teens in a culture of safety, warmth and collaboration.
